What's Included With My 1.5 TB External Hard Drive Upgrade

There's nothing else to buy! Each 1.5 TB External Drive Kit includes the following:

• A fully assembled, formatted and tested product!  Prior to shipment, we prepare each Hard Drive for your specific DIRECTV model and record approximately 20 hours of DIRECTV Programming  to fully test the hard drive, enclosure interface and eSATA data cable. We then force a re-format of the drive prior to shipment to you. This assures that you receive a fully working product that has been thoroughly tested on your exact DIRECTV receiver model..

• A brand new 1.5 TB Seagate Hard Drive mounted in an Actively Cooled Hard Drive Enclosure.  The internal fan in this enclosure is designed to keep the Hard Drive up to 15 degrees cooler than in non Actively Cooled Enclosures.  This is critical for Hard Drives used with DVR products that require constant duty. This is especially true for DIRECTV HD DVRs where Hard Drives must be able to record not only two channels from satellite, but also a Video On Demand data stream via the internet at the same time.

• AC adapter and power cord for External Drive Enclosure

• AN eSATA cable to connect the External Drive to the DIRECTV SATA/eSATA connector on the rear panel of the DVR

• Complete instructions to connect and use your External Hard Drive    

 

Warranty

• Each unit's brand new Seagate 1.5 TB drive is warranted by Seagate for three years from its date of manufacture. We will provide reconfiguration services for any drive originally sold by us and replaced under Seagate's warranty during their warranty period. You pay only actual shipping charges.
